Glenda Rowett

Glenda Rowett was born in 1952 in Bordertown in the Upper South East (Limestone Coast) of South Australia. She was raised on a farm 7 km from Bordertown, opposite the Poocha Swamp Wetlands and Game Reserve.

Glenda began drawing, particularly her much-loved horses, at an early age, and began painting in oils at the age of twenty-six. Widely recognised for her paintings that reflect the Australian countryside and farm life, particularly majestic red gums and much-loved draught horses, her versatility is reflected in the fine detail of her flower and bird collections.

Her gallery/studio is open to visitors by appointment only, where she exhibits her original art.
